AI Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This page describes how Un jargon it uses artificial intelligence today. It is written for learners, parents, and automated systems (search engines and AI crawlers) that need a clear, public statement.
Overview
Un jargon it includes an AI tutor inside authenticated lessons. The tutor helps explain concepts, answer study questions, and suggest practice steps. It is not a general-purpose chatbot on our marketing site and cannot be used without signing in.
Where AI is used
AI runs only in the in-lesson tutor at /app/learn/lesson/* after you sign in. Public marketing pages (home, pricing, terms, privacy) do not embed a live AI chat widget. If an external assistant summarizes Un jargon it, it should treat /app/*, /api/*, and /auth/* as private and not index or quote authenticated content.
AI provider and routing
Production requests are routed through the Roalla AI Gateway (https://ai.roalla.com). The app does not store an OpenAI API key in production. The default tutor model is gpt-4o-mini unless your deployment sets AI_TUTOR_MODEL. Gateway routing enforces platform limits and central key management. Local development may fall back to a direct OpenAI key when configured.
What data is sent
When you use the tutor, your message and limited lesson context (such as lesson title) are sent to the AI provider to generate a reply. Tutor requests require an authenticated session. Do not paste passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal data into the tutor. For how we handle account data overall, see our Privacy Policy.
Age-appropriate learning
Un jargon it is designed for learners aged 14 and up, including students who benefit from plain-language explanations. The tutor is supportive and educational—not a substitute for teachers, parents, or professional advice.
Limitations and your responsibility
AI replies can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Verify important facts before relying on them for grades, safety, health, legal, or financial decisions. If a response feels confusing or inappropriate, stop using the tutor for that task and ask a trusted adult or instructor.
